Available Light Symmetry 17 VIII 21 documents the moments of civil twilight before sunrise and after sunset on August 21, 2017, the day of the total solar eclipse in the United States. Originally conceived as a large scale installation, this series of six limited edition photographic prints presents symmetrical moments from the pair of that day’s twilights. Each photo uses the same exact exposure settings capturing the clear Brooklyn sky exactly as it appeared with the light available to the camera.
